Author - Vic Selby
Vic Selby passed away peacefully at his home on 23rd December 2016 with family around him.
Shortly before he died, he published his last book "Run From The Red Tide" which is now available on Amazon. He shared some of the development of the story in his Blog and News sections. It is a true story he was passionate to tell, of hardship and survival and his attention to detail makes it all the more authentic.
His previous novels , the "A Land Apart" trilogy will continue to be available on Amazon.
This website will continue as a dedication to him and his passion for bringing historical facts, events and people to life in his novels. His words here will remain as his words . He was a good man who inspired many. His family wish to thank everyone for their condolences, and take heart that his stories will live on in the imagination of others as they read his novels.

Welcome to my website.
I specialise in historical settings with stories based on facts.
I have published a trilogy of novels under the heading of ‘A Land Apart’.
They are adult novels portraying the extremes of love and violence, loyalty and betrayal, which beset the 14th century English and Scottish borders.
My latest work, 'Run from the red tide' covers the lives of a working-class East German family in the latter years of World War 2 and the early post-war period.
You can find a 'Run from the red tide' synopsis on my News page.
